Introduction
"Yang Sanjie's Complaint" tells the story of Yang Kangyuan, a person in Shandong Domain, who assumed the responsibility for embezzling military salaries. Before his execution, he entrusted his wife and daughter to Gao Jingtang, the governor of Shandong. Gao Jingtang, who was dismissed, ransomed Yang's wife and daughters Yang Er'e and Yang San'e, who were sold into a brothel, and ordered his second son Gao Chengdong to marry Er'e as his wife. Gao Jingtang's house-filling wife Lin Meichun and Gao Chengdong have a personal relationship. Seeing Gao Chengdong getting married, Lin Meichun was jealous. Under the arrangement of Lin Meichun's uncle Wu Xianming, Er'e bumped into Gao Chengdong, who was disheveled, in Lin Meichun's room. When San'e asked Gao Chengdong to settle accounts, Er'e pressed the matter down. Gao Chengdong was worried that Er'e would tell the truth. Wu Xianming gave him a packet of arsenic. After Er'e drank the decoction with arsenic, she said to Gao Chengdong from the bottom of her heart...... After being drunk, Lin Meichun bumped into the bleeding corpse of Er'e Qiqi. Mr. Yin Yang, who was bought, said that Er'e died of a blood collapse. When Yang's mother and San'e arrived at Gao's house, Er'e was already buried. San'e couldn't understand: how could Er'e die suddenly? San'e's request to open the coffin was refused. Yang Kangyuan's clerk, Huang Quan, resigned and returned to his hometown to take care of the Yang family's mother and daughter. He helped San'e write a petition to the Gao family. Gao Jingtang asked Mother Yang to control San'e. Tao Yu, the magistrate, took over San'e's situation. The shopkeeper of the pharmacy confessed that Wu Xianming bought arsenic, and Wu Xianming was sent to death row. Gao Chengdong sent a silver ticket, and Tao Yu hastily closed the case on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence of Yang Er'e's arsenic poisoning. San'e's first complaint failed. Wu Xianming told Lin Meichun about Gao Chengdong's killing of Er'e, and asked Gao Chengdong for money by various means. San'e suspected that Lin Meichun had harmed Er'e, and sued the Gao family again. Tao Yu captured Lin Meichun and Wu Xianming. Gao Chengdong sent the silver ticket to the county government again, and Tao Yu closed the case on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence of murder. San'e was helpless and asked Gao Chengdong for 30,000 taels of silver tickets. She gave the silver ticket to Tao Yu. The master water mouse promised San'e that he would definitely send the murderer of Er'e to the court. Lin Meichun and Wu Xianming were arrested and put in prison again. Gao Chengdong made Lin Meichun's personal girl, Sister Hong, a substitute for the dead ghost. Lin Meichun and Wu Xianming were released from prison. San'e, who was preparing to marry Huang Quan, took off her wedding dress, sued the Gao family to the government office, and told the county Tao Yu to accept bribes and shield criminals. Gao Jingtang heard that Yang San'e had sued the Gao family to the government, and in order to protect the Gao family, he took the family property to Beijing to donate to the official. When the prefect Xu Qian saw San'e's paper, he immediately arrested Tao Yu, Shui Mouse, Lin Meichun, Wu Xianming, and Gao Chengdong. Lin Meichun confessed to her adultery with Gao Chengdong and the fact that Gao Chengdong killed his wife. Gao Chengdong was sent to death row; Tao Yu and water rats were removed from their official positions; Wu Xianming escaped from prison. Gao Jingtang failed to give gifts to Prince Chun, so he sent someone to the governor to sue Prince Chun for opening a black shop. Later, Gao Jingtang reinstated the official in exchange for covering up the truth for Prince Chun in front of the governor. Just when Xu Qian was about to behead Gao Chengdong personally, Prince Chun transferred Xu Qian, and Gao Jingtang became the prefect as he wished. Immediately, Gao Jingtang reinstated Tao Yu and the water rat officer; Wu Xianming was sentenced to be the murderer of Er'e; released Gao Chengdong and took a leave of absence from Lin Meichun. Mother Yang was happily preparing for the marriage of San'e and Huang Quan, when the news of Gao Chengdong's release came, and San'e thundered like five thunders. She went straight to the governor's yamen and told Gao Chengdong again. When Gao Jingtang heard this, he led people to rush into Yang's house...... The Governor's Yamen went to the empty building. San'e returned home and saw her mother lying in a pool of blood...... The Qing Dynasty perished. Huang Quan, who served in the Beiyang Military Government, encouraged San'e and once again sued Gao Chengdong to the procuratorate. A gunshot rang out, and Yang San'e's unjust case for many years was finally settled after several twists and turns.
